Thorner Pre-school was founded in 1983 and obtained its Ofsted registration in 1999. The preschool was initially situated at Victory Hall and moved to its current location on the site of the Thorner Church of England Primary School in April 2007. The purpose built pre-school was partially funded by a grant of £100,000 from Leeds City Council and and additional grant for the outdoor area of £24,782 from SSOOS. As we are now located on the same site as the primary school and we have a close liaison with the school, the transition from pre-school to primary school is a smooth one.

Thorner pre-school is a registered charity and is a member of the pre-school learning alliance.

We are registered and regularly inspected by Ofsted.
