We encourage parents to be as involved as possible with the Pre-School. We try to maintain the best possible communication with parents. Staff are always available at the end of a session to discuss any issues that you may have.

  • A notice board in the cloakroom is used to keep parents informed, highlight activities and make requests. This includes a wall planner for noting significant dates in the calendar year.
  • Half-termly activity sheets within your child’s profile will keep the parents informed regarding the curriculum being followed at that time. All profile information is confidential.
  • The committee produces newsletters usually termly to keep parents up to date with committee activities, fundraising and management issues. Minutes of the committee meetings are posted on the cloakroom notice board
  • Once a child has started Pre-school, a profile is set up for them. These are kept in the child’s drawer for parents to see whenever they want. They are designed to be a record of the child's progress, development and life in the group from joining until they reach school age. We ask you to participate in the updating of your child’s profile. The more we know about your child’s interests, the more we can plan around your child.
  • Coffee mornings and open mornings are held to view your child’s profile/chat with staff.
