30th November The Big Weigh In - Please fill any bags - black bin bags, carrier bags, etc - with dry clothing, household linen, curtains, bedding, etc and in a different bag - shoes, bags, belts. Please have a really good sort out and bring your bags to the school carpark as you drop your children off. For every tonne in weight we collect we will raise £400. We will also raise money for The Firefighters Charity, a fantastic cause as the money goes towards the rehabilitation of injured or traumatised firefighters. 40% of our final money raised will be matched by the organisation collecting the items we collect and given to this charity. Please do your best as it's not just us that will benefit from your generosity - and it means you will have space in your cupboards just in time to fill them again after Christmas.
3rd December Christmas Dinner at school - if your child has a packed lunch that day, would you like them to have Christmas lunch with staff and other children? Just let us know.
10th December at 2pm. Nativity in school hall - Refeshments available afterwards.
17th December 5pm onwards Christmas Disco in school hall, tickets on sale soon.
6th November 09:00 to 12:30 Autumn Fair!! - Thorner Parish Centre. We will have stalls selling 2nd hand books (donations appreciated), cakes etc! There will also be photography by Tempest – Please book early as spaces are quickly filling up. There will also be face painting and lots of fun games and prizes.
31st October 16:30 to 18:00 Spooktacular!! - Thorner Parish Centre. Fancy dress competition – the spookier the better. Lots of fun for all the family. Activities to suit all ages!
